The number of Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) granted annually has tripled between 2010 and 2015.
Overall, 128,746 LPAs were granted by the Office of the Public Guardian in 2010, whilst 441,461 were granted in 2015.
Alan Porter, Owner at The Will Centre said: “An LPA is a very important document and we have noticed that more people are making one. It is better to make one now than to wait until it is too late, when the option may not be available.”
